The Acorn Festival is a Festival that happens in Animal Crossing: Wild World only. For one week in the fall, you can collect acorns on the ground and give them to Cornimer, who stands in the front of the Town Hall.

[edit] When does it happen?
During the second week of the month October, the Acorn Festival will start. Since the dates vary, there is no set date for this particular festival. Starting the very second Sunday of October, the Acorn Festival will start. It will last exactly seven days and will end on Saturday. It lasts all day.
[edit] What do I do?
You will immediately notice that there will be acorns scattered all over your town near trees. The objective of this holiday is to collect them and hand them over to Corner, who will be standing near the Town Hall. Before you do that, though, you should get acquainted with the types of acorns that are available to collect and what they will reward you with.

These acorns are very small and count as one acorn when you hand it to Cornimer. They sell for 100 Bells at Tom Nook's Shop.

Do not hand these over to Cornimer. If you do, you will get in big trouble! Not only will Corner be very upset and disappointed with you, but he will also steal all of the other acorns that you handed him in that inventory. Always check before giving your acorns to Cornimer, as looks may be deceiving when you pick them up. You can get rid of them by selling them for no value to Tom Nook or by putting them in the recycling bin.

Yes, there are prizes. After collecting a set amount of acorns, you can get rewards for all that acorn collecting! Cornimer will tell you how many acorns that you need to collect before he will give you a piece of furniture from the Mushroom Series. You can keep on doing this until you collect the whole set.
