- Along with the Napoleonfish, Arowana, and Blue Marlin, the Arapaima is the second highest selling fish all selling for 10,000 bells, behind the Coelacanth, Dorado, Shark, and Stringfish who all sell for 15,000 bells.
Real Life
The Arapaima is probably most known for being one of the largest freshwater fish in the world. The Arapaima can be found in South America. The Arapaima in the past, and present, has been a large source of meat for populations and can be easily harpooned due to its size. The Arapaima has also made appearences in a variety of other video games as a rare catch and even once had a gold version.
