Axel (Japanese name: エックスエル, XL) is a Jock Elephant Villager who has appeared in two of the three Animal Crossing games, suprisingly skipping an appeared in Animal Crossing: Wild World to later appear in Animal Crossing: City Folk and Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

As a Jock, he does not get long with Lazy villagers since he finds their laziness too much to handle. Axel, like his personality implies, is outgoing and can be a bit overconfident at times. He gets on with Normal and Peppy villagers. He also makes several attempts of forming a friendship with the player.

Axel is a blue elephant with elements of green on the lining of his ears. He also has a constant cheeky grin on his face.
