Benedict (Japanese name: ぺしみち, Peshimichi) is a Lazy Chicken Villager who made his very first appearance in Animal Forest e+, then reappeared in Animal Crossing: Wild World, Animal Crossing: City Folk and Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

Benedict is a scarlet chicken. He has a white face and yellow beak. His feet are also yellow. When most characters smile they shut their eyes excpet for Benedict and a few others. He has swollen cheeks.

Like other Lazy villagers, Benedict is easy to get along with. He shares an interest with food and relaxiing like all Lazy villagers. He partakes in normall hobbies for relaxation. He gets along well with Normal villagers who act as a mother or older sibling and Peppy villagers who are around the same age as him. He may confuse or offend Jock and Cranky villagers due to their conflicting lifestyles.
