Real Life
The Blue Marlin that you see in Animal Crossing is actually an Atlantic Blue Marlin. True to its name, they live near the Atlantic Ocean. It has a long bill that is like a sword. With this tool, it is a great predator, slashing schools of fish with its bill. Typically, the Atlantic Blue Marlin eats other fish such as mackerel and tuna. Sometimes, it will also feed on squids. Female Atlantic Blue Marlins can grow up to be four times bigger than males. The females can live to be up to 27, while the males are likely to live to be 18.
