Chow (Japanese name: チャウヤン Chauyan) is a Cranky, Bear Villager who has appeared in every Animal Crossing installment to date: Animal Crossing (GCN), Animal Crossing: Wild World, Animal Crossing: City Folk.

[edit] Personality

Chow has a Cranky personality. He is obsessed with fish and fishing. He'll ask you for fishing contests most of the time, and if you have a Fish in your inventory, he'll ask for it, then give you something in return. He tortures most of the other villagers, asking about the "wedding ceremony" that they are going to have. His smile can sometimes be strange, showing all of his teeth in a square box. This is the typical look of someone who is crazy, unnerved or disturbed.

[edit] Appearance

Chow has a somewhat unsettlingly calm appearance about him, with neutral-looking eyes and a satisfied grin. His head is all pink while the rest of his body remains black (this includes his ears, nose, mouth, arms, and legs). His inner ears are blue and he carries a birthmark on his left cheek. This all gives him some sort of Panda Bear look.

[edit] House

In Animal Crossing version, Chow has a few furniture pieces from the Exotic Series, those being Exotic Chair and the [[ Exotic Bed. Chow doesn't own a stereo or radio in this version so he cannot play any music. He also owns a huge amount of Gyroids.

In Animal Crossing: Wild World, Chow still has many items from the Exotic Series but only one Gyroid. He doesn't own a stereo or radio but if he is gifted one, he plays K.K. Steppe.

In Animal Crossing: City Folk, Chow still has many items from the Exotic Series and doesn't have a stereo or radio unless one is gifted to him.

[edit] Name Meaning

His name is ironic, as it is usually the Lazy Villager Type that asks for food, not the Cranky Type.
