Even though Cousteau's oddly french-based nature would naturally label him with the snooty personality, he is actually a jock with the typical love for sports and physical fitness(as bewildering as that is). He has appeared in the first Animal Crossing and Animal Crossing: City Folk, yet was left out of the installment for the Nintendo DS, Animal Crossing: Wild World. Along with a french demeanor and french appearance, his name is also french. This ocean of stereotyping comes from the fact that he is of the frog species, an animal which is eaten as a delicacy in the country of France. To fit his stereotyped personality, he can occasionally be quite caring and kind towards you if the situation calls for it.
Cousteau is mainly orange with brownish polka dots inhabiting the back of his head. His eyes are commonly squinted and he sports a curly cue moustache, typically wearing a smile more often than not. He wears the Vegetarian Shirt, no doubt due to the fact that his species are thoroughly enjoyed as side dishes in the country he represents.
 Name Meaning
As a french name, Cousteau fits this character quite nicely. It could also be a reference to Jaques Cousteau, a famous ocean researcher(considering frogs are semi-aquatic beings).
