The Dung Beetle is quite a common bug introduced in Animal Crossing: Wild World. It is the perpetrator of those mysterious moving snowballs.

[edit] How to catch

The Dung Beetle can be found randomly around your town, it will be rolling a snowball on snowy ground. Just look for a snowball that is moving. It will fly away if you run at it or if the snowball rolls off a ledge or into water. Sneak up on it and swing your net. Aim well else it will fly away!

  • The Dung Beetle is about 35 millimeters long.

The whole of the Scarabaeidae insect family will only eat feces and other decaying matter. They will lay their eggs in dung and the larva hatch and feast on it. The Egyptians worshiped them.
