Father's Day is an event that takes place during different times for certain regions depending on where you live. You will get a different gift on this holiday depending on which game you play.

Animal Crossing

This holiday is on the same date for everyone, so it doesn't matter which region you live in. When you come out of your house, Pelly will announce from the Post Office that it is Father's Day. Since you don't hear from your dad in-game all that often, if you want to receive your gift you must go visit Tortimer near the Wishing Well. Since he says that he is the fatherly figure of your town, he feels that it is his duty to hand out gifts for this holiday. If you speak to him, he will give you a locomotive model, a fatherly gift.

Animal Crossing: Wild World

Father's Day was absent in Animal Crossing: Wild World and it is unknown why. Like your mother, he would send occasional letters to you with a little humor in them, too.

Animal Crossing: City Folk

In Animal Crossing: City Folk, you will receive a letter from your father in your mailbox, which you will find is a rare occurrence. This holiday is not treated as a real one in-game, because Pelly will not announce what day it is and the villagers will won't talk about, possibly because the Bug-Off overrides it, making it a minor event. Your father will attach a gift to the letter - a red carnation. You can put this flower next to a pink carnation, which you get on Mother's Day, and create a white carnation hybrid.
