Arearea, perhaps better known as Joyousness, was a painting that was made at the end of the year 1892 in Tahiti. This painting was done using oil on a canvas. Gauguin often painted to find the absence of relief> Gauguin's painting style is to make big strokes on the paper and makes things as simple as possible. He also uses bright colors to try and enhance a painting, as he did with Joyousness.
