The Giant Snakehead is probably one of the most odd-looking rare, high-selling fish that the Animal Crossing series has to offer.

[edit] Player

This is what your player says when you catch a Giant Snakehead:

[edit] Animal Crossing

"I caught a giant snakehead! Yep! A giant snakehead. Who names these things?"

[edit] Animal Crossing: Wild World

"I caught a giant snakehead! ACK! It has a huge head!"

[edit] Animal Crossing: City Folk

"I caught a giant snakehead! No puny snakeheads for me!"

[edit] Menu

This is what the meny will say when you catch the Giant Snakehead:

[edit] Animal Crossing: Wild World

Their name comes from their snakelike look. Their teeth are strong, so watch your fingers.

[edit] Animal Crossing: City Folk

These are named for how they look. Watch your digits near those sharp teeth!

[edit] Museum

This is what Blathers will say when you donate this fish:

[edit] Animal Crossing: Wild World

"What a stupendous beast! It must have taken great effort to land this fearsome creature, eh wot? I've heard that giant snakehead carry parasites. Be sure to thoroughly cook them before eating. Blech! Parasites! Of course, we'll accept this one. Have no worries, we'll take special of it."

[edit] Animal Crossing: City Folk

...What a giant snakehead! These fish are notorious for their tremendous appetites, eh wot? Much like a snake, once one of these grabs its prey, naught can convince it to let go... I should think a few well-placed owl kicks might convince it, should one ever take a liking to me! In any case, this fish doesn't hunt all year 'round. It hates the cold and hibernates through winter. I've come up with a smashing nickname for it... "The Scourge of Summer!" Marvelous, eh wot?

[edit] Trivia

  • Along with it's snakelike look, this particular breed of fish packs a wicked bite which further suits every snake analogy associated with it.

[edit] Real Life

This fish has the potential to grow over one meter in length throughout it's adult years and can weigh up to 40 pounds in total. And as with such large fish, they are quite fearsome predators to match.

[edit] Appearance

The Giant Snakehead takes on a dominantly sour green-ish shade throughout it's whole body and sports a head which closely resembles the average snake, making it the least likely contender for most attractive fish of the year.
