Groucho makes an appearance in Animal Crossing and Animal Crossing: City Folk.

Appearance

Groucho is a dark blue bear. His muzzle and the inside of his ears are a pale tan color. The tips of his hands and feet are a slight gray. On his head he has three scars, but it is unknown what happened to cause them.

Personality

Groucho is a cranky villager, which is a popular trend among bears. He is probably the bear that is the hardest to handle because of his bad attitude. After befriending him, you will see a big improvement in his attitude. He will greet you, ask how you are, and become a good friend. Groucho is not the kind of bear that likes to go outside and catch a few bugs or have a good fossil hunt. You will find that he will be at home most of the time. Every once in a while, Groucho will ask you to deliver a package to someone in the villager.

House

Groucho's house does not contain any consistent theme, however the main focus does seem to be items from the Modern Series. His house is quite empty, with only one item on the left side of it. He seems to be a golf fan. Here is a list of the items Grizzly's house contains:

Name Meaning

Groucho's name came from the word 'grouchy', which means extremely irritable. Another interesting thing to note is that in real life, Groucho was of the five Marx Brothers. Chico, a brother from this group in real life, is a bear in Animal Crossing.
