Jay (Japanese name: ツバクロ, Tsubakuro) is a Jock, Bird Villager who made his very first appearance in Animal Crossing (GCN), then making two more appearances in both Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk.
As a jock villager, Jay can be rather competitive in events and enjoys talking about fitness. To Cranky and Snooty villagers he can appear rude though for him, he sees them to be rude and have a bad attitude so sometimes they don't get along. He wouldn't typically enjoy the company of a lazy villager due to their lack of interest to fitness. He would get along with other jock villagers and peppy villagers, probably because they either share the same interest or are rather enthusiastic. Jay would typically get along with Normal villagers as well. He has some interest in fossils as he often ask for them.
Jay has a red forehead with the latter portions of his body being blue and his chin being a pure white, along with his belly. He also has big, curious eyes and a large, orange beak.
Jay has a collection of musical instruments despite not being able to play them, those include the Piano and a few Violins. He plays K.K. Waltz on a gramaphone.
 Name Meaning
Jay's english name is most likely a reference to the bird species, Jay. Though, Jays do not have red feathers on their forehead. His Japanese name, Tsubakuro, means Swallow. A Swallow is also a species of bird.
