Kaitlin is a character who appears in the last two Animal Crossing games.On any day of the week, including weekends, Kaitlin might stop by in your town. She has a good reason, though. She has lost her daughter, Katie!

When does she come?

Kaitlin can come On any day of the week, including weekends. She will stay all day and will keep staying in your town until you return her to Katie. After a week, if you have not reunited her with her daughter she will leave.

Booker

If Kaitlin is in town, Booker will say:

I don't know how long ago it was, but I saw a cat come through here looking for her child...

Role

Kaitlin's role is the same in both games. You must reunite her with her daughter whom she is very worried about. She will tell you the name of the town where she thinks that she has lost Katie at. If this is the case, you will need to open up your town gates and contact the person that is from the town Kaitlin stated. They need to bring Katie over to your town. Once they have done that task, a small cut scene will appear right when your friend enters the town with Katie.

Cut Scene

Katie: Mommy! MOMMY!

Kaitlin: You! Oh, where have you been you naughty kitten?

Katie: Sniff... Sorry, Mommy! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Kaitlin: Goodness sakes! What am I do with this child, always wandering off.

Kaitlin to you: You there, are you the kindhearted soul who brought her back to me? Oh, thank you so very much I don't know what I would have done without you.

Kaitlin to Katie: You there, naughty kitten! Say thank you to the nice person!

Katie: Sniff... sniff... Th-thank you!

Kaitlin: Well, I suppose we should be heading home. Thank you again. You're a real angel!

Kaitlin to Katie: Hey, say good-bye!

Katie: Bye-bye!

They walk away into the distance and the cut scene ends.

Appearance

Katie has the appearance of a young cat. She has yellow fur. Her lips are colored very brightly and they are plump. She has brown bangs that come down from between her ears. Kaitlin loves to cook for her daughter Katie, so she is always seen wearing a green apron with a fish on it and she is usually wielding her spatula as well.

Personality

Katie is not one to panic. When her daughter Katie is lost, she does not get frantic and run around crying in circles. Instead, she clears her mind and tries to recall what happened to her daughter and where she could possibly be. Katie shows sure signs of a great mother, from having patience in others to being a great cook!
