Koi is a well known oriental fish which plays a big part in Japanese artwork in the early 12th century. The Koi's name is Japanese for 'Carp' which is a species which it has evolved from.

As several different colors have been produced, the red Koi is the most common. These fish are medium sized fish with a white underbelly, and a red - orange coated top.
