[edit] How to Catch

Rather than flying through the air or resting atop certain flowers, the Mountain Beetle can only be found climbing tree trunks during the specified date and time. Good in-game reflexes are required if you don't wish for this rare, fair-selling beetle to give you the slip.

[edit] Player

This is what you player says when you catch an Mountain Beetle:

[edit] Animal Crossing

"I caught a mountain stag beetle! That's a mean looking jaw!"

[edit] Animal Forest e+

"ゃった‐! ミヤマクワガ夕を つかまえた! 〈‐っ、 このアゴのラインが なんともいえない!!"

[edit] Real Life

In real life, the Mountain Beetle is also known as the Mountain Pine Beetle, which lends to it's scientific name. They are a forest-dwelling species which make their home in British Columbia, Mexico, and North America. They commonly live among spruce trees and feed on the inner layers of bark by boring into it. This is also where they lay their eggs.
