Real Life
"The Birth of Venus" was painted in 1482 by Italian painter Sandro Botticelli. The painting shows the the Roman Godess of Love and Beauty, Venus, arriving at a shore on a shell. She is being covered with a flowery cloak by a Goddess of the Seasons. It is currently on show in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
