The Nice Painting is a rare painting that was introduced in Animal Crossing: Wild World and has since then appeared in Animal Crossing: City Folk. As it can only be bought in Redd's in both games, one should be careful of fakes.

The Fifer is also known as "Young Flautist". It was painted in 1866 by Édouard Manet. It is currently on show in Musée d’Orsay in Paris. It features Manet's muse Victorine Meurent playing the flute. Although thought as a boy at first glance, Victorine is actually an androgynous girl in this painting. Her features have been merged with those of her prepubescent son to give this effect.
