The Red Pikmin Hat is a DLC item. It was the first downloadable content that Animal Crossing: City Folk players ever received.

Appearance

The Red Pikmin is a hat item that you can wear. The hat covers all of your face except for your character's front facial features. It is a bright red color and at the top of the hat and a green leaf blooms from the top of it. When worn, people often mistake it as a beet or radish.

Reason for Receiving

This DLC was released to celebrate the new Nintendo release, New Play Control! Pikmin, which is a remake of the Gamecube converted to fit the Wii. The game was released on March 9, 2009 in North America.
