Sable is a brown hedgehog and has appeared in every single Animal Crossing game in the series.

Job

Sable and her sister Mabel work together at the Able Sisters. When you step into the store, you will find that Sable is in the corner sewing away. When you talk to her at first, she won't say much and will instead hand the role of taking care of the customer to Mabel.

Befriending Sable

You can befriend Sable by visiting her in the shop everyday. You must talk to her at least once. If you keep on consistently talking to her, she will start to open up more. Soon she will be calling you by your name and telling you that her parents died. You become good friends with her.

Parents

When Sable was just a young hedgehog, her parents died in a tragedy that has not yet been revealed. Thus, she was left along with no parent figures and had Sable to take care of. Because of this, she soon became a mother figure to Sable and took great care of her, making sure that she grew up right.

Labelle

It was discovered in Animal Crossing: City Folk, that after going through "episodes", which are things where you can talk to six working animals to learn more about their lives, that Labelle is actually an Able sister. She split apart from the family because of a fight after her parents and died and after that, Sable grew depressed. Now the two sisters just want to reconcile, but can not as they have their own duties and dreams.

Appearance

Mabel is a brown hedgehog. her eyes look tired from sewing all day. Right above her black snout, she has a group of freckles. Sable has brown fur. Her hair is also brown and comes down from underneath her hair and is all spiked up. She wears a red and white checkered apron.

Personality

Mable is very reserved and wise. She perhaps gets these traits for when her parents died and she had to take on the great responsibility of caring for her sister. She will not open up about her personal life details until she feels that the person she is speaking to can be trusted. She is very quiet as well and does not like greeting customers.

Relationships

• Labelle - Sister: Currently not speaking to because of argument.
• Mabel - Sister: 10 years younger, helps run family business.
