Not much is known about this painting as it was painted by a very elusive painter that was only active during a few years. It was painted between the years of 1794 and 1795 and is a woodblock print. The painting's artist went by the name of Sharaku and it is is currently housed in the Tokyo National Museum. It depicts the actor Otani Oniji III during one of his performances.
