How to Catch

The Scorpion is one of the most difficult bugs to catch because it is fast and attacks you if you have a net equipped. The only time it will come after you is if you have your net out, so you can use this to your advantage. You need to get a good distance away from the Scorpion where you can see it, equip your net, and then when it comes hurling at you, swing the net at the right time. If you do not catch the Scorpion, it will sting you, causing your player to reappear at their house dazed. They can jump over cliffs, holes, and any other obstacle, so do not count on using those to catch the Scorpion.

Player

This is what you player says when you catch a Scorpion:

Animal Crossing: Wild World

"I caught a scorpion! But he didn't catch me!"

Animal Crossing: City Folk

"I caught a scorpion! He looks kind of crabby to me..."

Menu

This is what the menu will say when you catch a Scorpion:

Animal Crossing: Wild World

"Their "tail" is actually a part of their stomach."

Animal Crossing: City Folk

Museum

If you donate this bug to the Museum, Blathers will say this:

Animal Crossing: Wild World

Animal Crossing: City Folk

Trivia
