[edit] Museum
This is what Blathers will say when you donate this fish:
[edit] Animal Crossing: Wild World
"I can't think of a soul who claims to have eaten a meal of seahorse. However, it has been used for centuries as an herbal supplement, that I know. A supplement for what, I haven't the foggiest."
[edit] Animal Crossing: City Folk
"This creature is covered in hard scales that suggest a relation to crabs or shrimp, but it's a proper fish. That said, it's a dreadful swimmer and can't usually move against powerful currents, eh wot? In such environments, the sea horse will cling to kelp and stay there until the waters calm a bit... Seeing those little fellows holding on for dear life makes me want to cheer them on! Cling, sea horse!"
[edit] Trivia
- As one of the odder-looking fish in the ocean, the Seahorse is often mistaken for belonging to the reptile family, while in reality it does not.
[edit] Real Life
The Seahorse is one of the most popular breed of fish to keep as pets as they add just the right atmosphere to one's fish tank community. In reproduction, the male keeps the eggs safe in a pouch on it's body after the female has laid them there.
[edit] Appearance
Seahorses come in various colours, but for the sake of Animal Crossing, it's skin is mostly red with support fins on it's backside and a curved tail at the end of it's body in order to keep balance in the water.
