Smug

Smug is a villager personality type in all genders. The personality is a new addition to the game Animal Crossing: New Leaf and, for the moment, is exclusive to the game. Villagers with this personality type will act like a gentleman towards the player and will talk indirectly. They will be very hard to hate by both villagers and the player.

Smug may come from the expression displayed on one's face when they are trying not to laugh. This could link to the personality displayed in Animal Crossing since they will find it un-gentlemanly to laugh in one's face.
