The snail is a bug that was first introduced in Animal Crossing and his since then appeared in all of the Animal Crossing games.

How to Catch

The Snail will be sitting on a flower when it is raining. The snail is very slow and will not move unless you happen to step upon. Because of this, the snail is very easy to catch. Simply bring out and equip your net, get within reach of the snail, swing your net, and ta-da!

Real Life

The Snail is a common term for insects that have a mollusk on their back. The life span for this bug is 15 - 20 years, although snails have been known to live for thirty or more. The Snail that we see in the game is a Terrestrial Snail. Terrestrial snails are herbivorous and they usually eat things such as leaves, stems, soft bark, fruit, vegetables and algae. Snails can be eaten and are called Escargot.
