Sorrow is one of the many Emotions that were first introduced in Animal Crossing (GCN) and then later appeared in Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk, which in these later installments could then be used by both the Player and CPUs through Dr. Shrunk(ACWW) and both Dr. Shrunk/Master Frillard(ACCF).
When the Sorrow Emotion is activated, the user tilts their head back and holds both sides of their face with their hands. With their eyes closed tight, tears sprinkle out of both of their eyes and into the air.

Here's Dr. Shrunk's act from his stand-up routine entitled "Sorrow":
Thanks you! Thank you! And thanks to that special someone out there! I think you KNOW who you are! Dr. Shrunk is in the house!
I've got the perfect cure for those times when you just want to cry! Can-do attitude! And I take THAT medicine each time I step onstage! Because sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me! Ha! So just TRY to say that my jokes stink! C'mon, try it...I'm waiting...C'MON, I gotta show you!...Waaaah! I hate the silent treatment!
The doctor is OUT!
