Stitches (Japanese name: パッチ, Patch) is a cub villager who has s lazy personality. He appeared in Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk yet was absent from the original Animal Crossing.
Stitches is a loveable, multicoloured bear with lots of stitches. His head is mainly orange but he has multi coloured ears and paws that range from green, blue, and purple. Instead of a traditional animal, Stitches physically takes after your average stuffed animal, making this game just a little bit more abstract. This also explains why he prefers decorating his house with Kiddie Theme furniture and decorations.
As a lazy villager, Stitches lives for relaxation and food, being the majority of all he ever talks about or refers to when spoken to or eavesdropping on his conversations with others. Even though he doesn't come across snooty villagers too well, they still see him as a loveable child when speaking behind his back.
 Name Meaning
Stitches could possibly be a direct reference to this bear's physiology since the fabric that makes up stuffed toys are held together by stitches. His Japanese name, Patches, refers to the patch-like features that seems to be stiched onto him.
