[edit] Animal Crossing: City Folk

[edit] Menu

This is what the meny will say when you catch the Yellow Perch:

[edit] Animal Crossing: Wild World

Bass love to feast on this fish, which is why some lures are shaped like yellow perch.

[edit] Animal Crossing: City Folk

Because Bass like to eat them, there are many lures shaped like these fish.

[edit] Museum

This is what Blathers will say when you donate this fish:

[edit] Animal Crossing: Wild World

"Most of the Perch family have perched on a dinner table at some time. Indeed, these fish are avalible for perch-ase all over the world, wot!"

[edit] Animal Crossing: City Folk

"Yellow perch have spiny dorsal fins that make them look rather tough. Here's an interesting tidbit: as fry, these fish will hide amongst water plants by standing on their heads! It stands to reason that a tough fish like this one must be clever from the day it's born..."

[edit] Trivia

  • Large Yellow Perch are often called "Jumbo Perch"

[edit] Real Life

These fish populate most rivers of North America, and are mainly used as bait for fishing lines. These fish are extremely important to other, larger fish because they supply a great amount of nutrients, thus being ideal for fishing bait.

These fish are also very long - lived fish; averaging a life span up to 11 years of age. These older fish sometimes exceed the normal length of a perch, and are called "Jumbo Perch".
