[edit] Trivia

  • Large Char are one of the few fish that have a natural diet mainly consisting of bugs. Even though they can only be found at the bottom of waterfalls in Animal Crossing, they are actually found in freshwater bodies of water located in northern regions.

[edit] Real Life

In real life, the Large Char is closely related to the Salmon and can only survive in freshwater, some bodies located even as far as alpine-based lakes. They are known to be overfished in Scandinavia and commonly eat insects as part of their daily food intake.

[edit] Appearance

The Large Char is mostly orange, with black stripes down the length of it's body(which makes it resemble something of a "tiger fish"). Despite the rarity of this fish, it's overall body shape is mostly bland and unimpressive.
