The Pale Chub is a rather small, common fish which can be found and captured for a decent price in all three current installments of the Animal Crossing series.

[edit] Player

This is what your player says when you catch a Pale Chub:

[edit] Animal Crossing

"I caught a pale chub! Looks like it could use a little sun...and a little diet."

[edit] Animal Crossing: Wild World

I caught a Pale Chub! It could use some sun.

[edit] Animal Crossing: City Folk

"I caught a pale chub! Chub a dub dub!"

[edit] Menu

This is what the meny will say when you catch the Pale Chub:

[edit] Animal Crossing: Wild World

They can be caught and eaten year-round! The fisherman's best friend.

[edit] Animal Crossing: City Folk

People who fish love this species, which can be caught year-round.

[edit] Museum

This is what Blathers will say when you donate this fish:

[edit] Animal Crossing

"Oh? Is that a fact? It's sometimes called a mountain trout? But it's not a trout! What rot! Well, regardless, I'll see that it gets the proper care. You have my word on it!"

[edit] Animal Crossing: Wild World

"You know, I'm sure these are technically edible... Even so, I don't think there are too many people who actually DO eat them, wot? I suppose if one were to batter them with some delectable spices..."

[edit] Animal Crossing: City Folk

"The pale chub is a freshwater fish. During its spawning season, it turns a vivid blue, wot wot? But all the eggs do have similarities... Telling what sort of beastie laid the egg is difficult, wot wot? Rather fascinating how a fish normally so plain can put forth such an effort when love is on the line... Perhaps I might stand to adopt that fish philosophy myself, and quite soon!"

[edit] Trivia

  • Even though this fish can be caught any day of the year, it still only appears at certain points of the day, which is somewhat disheartening.

[edit] Real Life

The Pale Chub species resides in freshwater ponds and rivers and it's native home is Korea(in which it is commonly known by the name "Pirami"). It's common diet consists of algae and insect larvae. They only eat during nighttime hours or when the weather is moist outside.

[edit] Appearance

The Pale Chub is about the size of a minnow, with a nice silvery blue overlay. They have an extra large, elegant fin located near their tail fins and behind their dorsal fins. Due to their Korean names, they are often mistaken as the deadly Piranha.
